Generation change in the advisory board of PROBAT

The longtime chairman of the advisory board of PROBAT Dr. Gerd Müller-Brockhausen died suddenly and unexpectedly in June this year. Dr. Michael Müller-Brockhausen takes over his father’s seat on the advisory board of the world market and technology leader for coffee roasting plants and machinery. Industry expert Nils Erichsen becomes new chairman.

The sudden death of Dr. Gerd Müller-Brockhausen is a significant turning point for PROBAT. Müller-Brockhausen was active on the company‘s advisory board for almost 40 years, spearheading it as its chairman for the past seven years.

With his succession as new member Dr. Michael Müller-Brockhausen now heralds the next generation in the consulting committee of the machine manufacturer from the Lower Rhine area. At the same time the PROBAT advisory board appointed Nils Erichsen as the new chairman. The Hamburg native has many years of expertise in the coffee industry and from now on will head the meetings of the three-member committee for the next two years. Dr. Stephan Feldhaus completes the advisory board.

Wim Abbing, managing partner of PROBAT, gratefully looks back on the long-standing support by Müller-Brockhausen and expresses his great expectations on the cooperation: “For Dr. Gerd Müller-Brockhausen the company was always at the forefront of his considerations, which is why we were able to develop the company so successfully together with him. Now I am especially looking forward to working with the next shareholder generation which already possesses a profound knowledge of our company. Along with the proven industry expertise of the advisory board colleagues, this body will continue to be an important advising support also in the future."
