PROBAT runs for Homerun Emmerich

Emmerich, Germany, October 06, 2021: PROBAT, the world market and technology leader in coffee processing plant and machinery, collects a total of € 12,000 for children, young people and the socially disadvantaged as part of the fundraising campaign Homerun Emmerich.

True to the motto "Together we are better", a total of 73 PROBAT employees took to the starting line at the beginning of September to make their contribution to the Homerun Emmerich. The aim was to complete as many laps or kilometers as possible within three hours on this day. The incentive was great, because the management donated a fixed amount for every kilometer run for the charitable cause.

The 1.2 km route ran partly over and around the PROBAT company premises. The result was impressive: On this day alone, 880 km were accumulated, so that the Homerun team could be presented with a check for a total of €12,000. Simon Berntsen, co-organizer of the fundraising campaign, was impressed by the willingness of the PROBAT staff to run: "Our goal was to motivate as many companies and citizens as possible to participate in the Homerun Emmerich. We are overwhelmed by the solidarity of all Emmerich participants and thank PROBAT very much for the great result and the generous donation."

PROBAT CEO Wim Abbing added: "Given the prevailing Corona crisis, many people from Emmerich are still struggling financially. We are pleased to be able to do something good for the children and young people of our home town in particular with this donation."

In addition to the charitable incentive, the prizes offered by the company - for example, for the best departmental result and the most creative social media post - gave the PROBAT runners an extra boost. The winners could look forward to a fitness breakfast in the PROBAT company restaurant or a pair of sneakers made from coffee grounds.
